Spokane International Airport offers a variety of services for passengers with disabilities.
Arriving/Departing
Departing passengers may use the curbside in front of their airline’s ticket counter. All airlines operating at the airport provide curbside wheelchair service. Passengers are encouraged to contact their airline well in advance of their trip to make arrangements if wheelchair service is needed. Motorists dropping off or picking up passengers at the terminal are asked to not dwell at the curb. If waiting for passengers to arrive, our Cell Phone Lot is available to use. Also, do not leave vehicles unattended at the curb.

Blind/Low Vision Assistance
Spokane International Airport offers passengers complimentary access to AIRA. AIRA connects blind or low vision individuals via smartphone or smart glasses with a trained AIRA agent. The agent provides visual descriptions to navigate the individual through the airport, check in at airline ticket counters, proceed through the TSA security screening checkpoint, locate shops and restaurants, stay up to date on flight status, and identify luggage. Download the AIRA app here [www.aira.io] or call 800-835-1934 for additional information.
Elevators
Elevators are conveniently located throughout the terminal building and the Garage Parking Lot, near stairs or escalators.
Ground Transportation
Not all ground transportation providers at the airport can readily accommodate passengers with disabilities, so passengers looking for transportation options are encouraged to prearrange their transportation. A list of ground transportation companies is available on our website at https://spokaneairports.net/ground-transportation/. Passengers arriving at the airport who are looking for assistance with ground transportation can pick up a courtesy phone at either the A/B Concourse baggage claim area or the C Concourse baggage claim area.
Public Transportation
Spokane Transit Authority [https://www.spokanetransit.com/] provides public transit to and from Spokane International Airport on Route #60. All STA buses are wheelchair accessible.
Restrooms
All airport restrooms contain at least one larger stall and grab bars to accommodate individuals with accessibility needs. Additionally, accessible family restrooms are available both pre- and post-security.
Service Animal Relief Areas
Several relief areas are available for passengers traveling with a pet. Pre-security locations can be found outside the terminal across from the A/B Concourse baggage claim, near the C Concourse Baggage claim and the C Concourse Ticketing area. Two locations are situated post-security by the A Concourse gate area and the upper C Concourse gate area.
Security
Passengers requiring special assistance when proceeding through the TSA security screening checkpoints should coordinate the service with their airline. Only ticketed passengers are allowed past security checkpoints, but airlines may provide a companion pass to assistants or guardians to accompany those with special needs to their gate. Passengers can check with their airline to see what options are available to them.
TSA Cares is a service that provides travelers with disabilities, medical conditions and other special circumstances additional assistance during the security screening process. Passengers needing assistance should reach out to TSA Cares at 855-787-2227 at least 72 hours prior to their scheduled departure. More information about the program is available at https://www.tsa.gov/travel/passenger-support.
Telephone
TTY phone systems for the hearing impaired are available pre-security at A/B Concourse TSA security screening checkpoint and the C Concourse ticketing area near the Alaska Airlines ticket counter.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchair service is available and provided by the airlines. The airlines also work with ABM Aviation for wheelchair assistance. ABM Aviation’s number is 509-499-7930.
