New Nonstop Spokane-Orange County Service Begins January 7
SPOKANE, Wash. (July 31, 2025) – Spokane International Airport (GEG) travelers will soon have more options to access Southern California, following Alaska Airlines’ announcement to launch year-round, daily nonstop service from Spokane to John Wayne Airport (SNA) in Orange County, California, beginning Jan. 7, 2026.
“As the region’s gateway, working with airlines to grow air service connectivity in ways that make it easier for local passengers and businesses to access the global marketplace is a top priority, and enhancing access to the Los Angeles Basin – one of the Spokane’s top air travel markets – is an important part of this strategy,” said Frank Miller, Interim CEO, Spokane Airports. “We’re honored by Alaska Airlines’ support of this vision and additional investment in the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene region. More than 400 Inland Northwest passengers travel per day each way between GEG and the Los Angeles area, and we look forward to supporting Alaska’s efforts to increase connectivity to this key market.”
“From beaches and world-class entertainment to many Fortune 500 companies' headquarters, it’s easy to understand why the Los Angeles Basin is one of the most sought-after destinations for Spokane-Coeur d’Alene area travelers. This new route not only reflects a growing demand for nonstop service to the Los Angeles region, particularly Orange County – one of Spokane’s top underserved markets – but importantly creates more convenient nonstop and connection opportunities for our guests,” said Kirsten Amrine, vice president of revenue management and network planning at Alaska Airlines.
The new, daily year-round Spokane to Orange County service will begin January 7, 2026. It will complement Alaska’s existing daily nonstop service to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
